What Data We Access

ContactFixer requires access to your device contacts to provide its core functionality:

• Contact Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, organizations, addresses, and other contact details
• iCloud Data (Optional): If you enable iCloud backup, your contact groups and merge history are stored in your private iCloud account

What Data We DO NOT Collect

• We do NOT collect any personal information
• We do NOT track your usage
• We do NOT use analytics services
• We do NOT share data with third parties
• We do NOT send data to external servers
• We do NOT display advertisements

How We Use Your Data

ContactFixer processes your contacts entirely on your device to:

• Detect duplicate contacts using advanced matching algorithms
• Compare and merge contact information
• Create backups of your contact data
• Provide analytics about your contact sources
• Clean and format contact fields

All processing happens locally on your iPhone/iPad. Your contacts never leave your device except when:

• You choose to enable iCloud backup (stored in YOUR private iCloud account)
• You manually share or export data using iOS sharing features

Data Storage

Local Storage

• All app data is stored locally on your device
• Contact analysis results, merge history, and backups are saved in the app's secure container
• You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app

iCloud Storage (Optional)

• If you enable iCloud backup, the following data is stored in YOUR private iCloud account:
  • Duplicate group history
  • Merge snapshots
  • Restore points
  • App settings
• This data is encrypted and syncs across your devices signed in with the same Apple ID
• Only YOU can access this data
• We do NOT have access to your iCloud data

Third-Party Services

ContactFixer does NOT use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.

The app uses only Apple's native frameworks:

• Contacts framework (to access your contacts)
• CloudKit (optional, for iCloud backup)
• SwiftData (for local database)

Data Sharing

We do NOT share, sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone. Your contacts and app data remain completely private to you.

Data Security

• All data processing occurs on your device using iOS security features
• App data is protected by iOS app sandboxing
• iCloud data (if enabled) is encrypted by Apple
• We do not store passwords or authentication credentials
• The app does not require user accounts or login

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is stored locally on your device and in your iCloud (if enabled)
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all local data. Disable iCloud sync to remove cloud data
• Portability: You can export your contact data using iOS's native export features
• Control: You can revoke contacts access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Contacts

Children's Privacy

ContactFixer does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and processes only the contacts data you choose to provide.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting a notice in the app (for significant changes)
